Each artisan-crafted bar of Harmony Lane Goat’s Milk soap gets it’s skin-nourishing qualities from farm-raised Alpine, LaMancha, Saanen, Nubian and Toggenburg goats. These goats are milked by hand and graze on our own 64 acre, pesticide-free farm in Smithville, Tennessee. Our goats are fed only the finest Verified NON-GMO grain developed just for Harmony Lane by Kalmbach feed out of Ohio.

Our soap is carefully handcrafted in small batches using a cold-press method and contains no preservatives and no harsh chemicals. Harmony Lane Goat’s Milk soap combines certified organic coconut oil, certified organic palm oil, 100% food grade olive oil, castor oil, avocado oil, essential oils and various botanicals with naturally moisturizing pure goat's milk. Each bar is individually cut and hand wrapped which accounts for the slight variations in size and shape that you'll find. Most people with problematic skin, such as eczema, acne and other sensitive skin care concerns, find they can use even scented goat’s milk soap with superior results. For those with especially sensitive skin, there are also several varieties of fragrance-free soap.

Did you know…

Goat’s milk is a natural emollient that helps soothe and moisturize the skin:
It contains vitamins A, B6, B12 and E that feed the skin and is absorbed into the body. Goat's milk has 3 times more beta-casein than cow's milk. Because of it’s easy absorption into the skin, it allows for quick hydration of dry skin. It also contains alpha-hydroxy acids, which help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking. Water-based soaps may use harsh chemical acids to accomplish this, frequently with skin-damaging results. The lasting effect of chemical acids on the skin is more similar to a chemical "burn." Alpha hydroxy acids found in goat's milk work with skin instead of breaking it down and aging it further.

Goat’s milk has anti-inflammatory properties:

Goat's milk reduces skin inflammation due to the fat molecule content. The cream present in goat's milk is a moisturizer, soothing dry and damaged skin, possessing an anti-inflammatory effect. Think of the creamy texture of any milk and imagine that soothing balm on irritated skin. Goat milk soap eases pain from psoriasis and baby eczema. This wonder ingredient has anti-inflammatory properties and is easily absorbed into your skin.

Goat’s milk treats acne:

Studies now show that goat's milk is effective for treating acne and skin conditions. This is primarily because goat's milk has anti-bacterial properties that delay the growth of microbial organisms that spur the spread of acne.

Goat milk contains important minerals for the skin:

Selenium is believed by scientists to have an important role in preventing skin cancer and damage to the skin from excessive time in the sun. Many areas in the United States have pastures low in selenium. At Harmony Lane, our dairy goats get a selenium booster, to ensure their mineral needs are met.

Please note: Because our soaps are natural and no preservatives are added, it is recommended you place the soap on a well drained “soap dish” after each use to extend the life of the bar.
